Care and size guide

My creations are made to be worn for a long time. Here are a few simple tips for choosing the right size and taking care of your jewelry and beanies.

JEWELRY

Choosing the right necklace length

The length of each necklace is indicated on its product page.

To visualize the result, use a string or ribbon cut to the indicated length, place it around your neck, and observe where it falls. Keep in mind that the result may vary slightly depending on your build and the size of the pendant.

If you would like a different length, write to me before ordering. Whenever possible, I will be happy to adjust the jewelry for you.

Choosing the right bracelet size

Measure your wrist using a flexible tape measure, without pulling too tight. If you don't have one, use a piece of string, then measure it with a ruler.

Then add a little space depending on the desired fit:

  • Fitted: add about 0.5 cm
  • Comfortable: add about 1 cm
  • Loose: add about 1.5 cm

Maintaining your jewelry

925 sterling silver can naturally patina over time. This is not a defect. A polishing cloth is usually enough to restore its shine.

To preserve your jewelry:

  • Avoid contact with perfumes, creams, and cleaning products
  • Remove it before swimming, exercising, or sleeping
  • Store it in a dry place, ideally separately
  • Handle stones, clasps, and delicate chains with care

If an Avec Patience piece breaks or needs an adjustment, send me a photo. I will be able to let you know what can be repaired or transformed.

BEANIES

Choosing the right size

The size and measurements of each beanie are indicated on its product page.

To measure your head circumference, place a flexible tape measure around your head, slightly above your eyebrows and ears. The tape should remain comfortable, without being too tight.

As materials can have different levels of elasticity, always consult the information specific to the model you are interested in. If you are unsure, write to me before ordering and I can guide you.

Maintaining your beanie

To preserve its softness, color, and shape:

  • Hand wash in cold water
  • Use a small amount of mild soap
  • Avoid wringing or twisting it
  • Gently remove excess water using a towel
  • Lay flat to dry
  • Do not use a dryer or bleach

Delicate care will allow your beanie to maintain its shape and softness for longer.
